Our Story

Ident System AB

During the final years of the 1980’s, Saab-Automation began developing analogue CCD cameras in addition to barcode scanners and tag readers for industrial use. The 1990’s saw the acquisition of Saab Automation by Swiss Baumer Electric AG, leading to the Swedish company becoming Baumer Ident AB. Baumer further developed these cameras to EVS128 and EVS134. In the 2000’s, Baumer Ident AB was sold to Identec Solutions AG and therefore moved the business to Austria.

In 2010, former employees of Baumer and Saab decided to develop a new generation of digital cameras based on previous experience, unveiling a whole new range of digital cameras. Therefore, in 2013, our company Ident System AB was registered to be able to sell, market and develop the product. 

In 2015, a new UHF reader was launched and by 2016,  Ident System AB launched the EVS144 Imager – a new unique product for the market. During 2017, Identsystem started cooperation with Dobot regarding sales and distribution of robotic arms for education, hobby, and test in addition to the smaller industry. 

Today, many people involved throughout the years are partners within the company. This has ensured that the product knowledge, development and expertise in RFID and code readers has been kept in a unique way, enabling the ability to develop completely new products together with our sister companies. 

​Vindic Engineering

Founded in 1984, Vindic has over the years delivered a variety of products and services to Swedish companies and private customers. Our range varies from both installation and consultation to the sale of spare parts and Honda-products. We have been working with robots in various forms of lawn mowing for more than 15 years.

In 2008, the company was involved in bringing the Italian robotic lawn mowers of the brand Lizard to Sweden. Lizard was later sold to Stiga AB and became Stiga Autoclip. This means that Vindic is one of few that has many years of experience with machines from Italian Zucchetti Centro Sistemi SpA, as well as robots in general.  

We are also active in other areas involving automation. Through our sister company Ident System AB, we provide our own products for automatic identification such as industrial code readers and various RFID products. Our workshop, by which is managed by our other sister company Prototypservice AB, also provides us with CNC machines and advanced 3D printers (Markforge). 

Today, Vindic Engineering is a brand for traded products under Ident System AB. 

Prototypservice AB

Prototypservice was founded in 2016 and today cooperates as a sister company to Vindic and Ident System. Prototypservice mainly specializes in 3D-printing technique, prototype CNC manufacturing, customized series as well as laser engravings.
